Tudor 2016 Basel News – Black Bay Bronze – Black Bay Dark PVD case – in 41 mm with chronometer Tudor movement! Let’s just hope the PVD case coating is strong enough for using this as a daily beater. Normally PVD is quite soft and many watch brands have used the harder DLC coatings or even special ceramic cases. Maybe the trick with PVD and Tudor is the same as with the bronze, the patina ( & scratches ) will be visible by every owner differently otherwise I can’t explain this historic coating.
Straight end links!..
The new Tudor 2016 Black Bay Dark in the same case as the Bronze, also 43 mm and also with chronometer Tudor movement!
Say hello to the new Tudor Black Bay Bronze. In 43 mm and with their own chronometer manufacture caliber!…
Besides the brown insert, you also see the brown dial when the light hits in there…
I like the beveled chamfers and the whole in the case for the push pins, nice heritage details! Well done Tudor
For a ladies wrist it’s a bit to big but then this is a real mans watch. The bronze case will patinate on each wrist differently!..
It’s called the Ref 79250BM..

I still believe that with pencil hands this design could become a real classic like I show you in my photoshop below. For insiders and collectors it’s now a bit a mix of styles that historically don’t go together. Once you don’t know, you will most probably like the snowflake hands 😉

The “regular” Black Bay is also getting the new Tudor chronometer movement and a very cool heritage detail, the rivet bracelet!
Tudor has become the modern vintage Rolex. I just wonder why they keep the prices so low now it’s all in-house ?
